Wardrobe Interiors & Storage Solutions

A wardrobe is only as good as what’s inside it. Beautiful doors hide the part that actually changes your mornings – the interior – and at Vesta Space it’s never an afterthought bolted on at the end. Every wardrobe interior we make is fully customisable and built to measure, planned around how you use your clothes, then made and fitted by our own team.

We’ve been designing fitted wardrobe interiors from our Aldridge showroom since 2017, and it’s the detail customers notice most once they’re living with it – one big reason 70% of our work comes from referrals and returning customers.

Build your wardrobe interior around how you live

Our interiors are built on a tower system, so we can mix and match exactly what you need – nothing standard, no wasted space:

  • Long and short hanging – full-length for dresses and coats, double-stacked short hanging for shirts, jackets and trousers to double your capacity.
  • Wardrobe drawers – soft-close drawer banks in the widths you need, from a run of shallow drawers for accessories to deep drawers for bulky knitwear.
  • Custom shelf stacks & pigeonhole shelving – for folded clothes, bags and boxes, set at the heights that suit you..
  • Pull-out shoe racks and shoe cascades – keep pairs visible and off the floor.
  • Built-in dressing tables and desks – joined to the wardrobe, with shelving or a mirror above, turning a run of storage into a proper dressing or work area.
  • Open shelf towers – neat finishing units that work brilliantly in alcoves and sloping eaves.
  • Corner storage – clever ways to use the spaces a standard wardrobe ignores.

For standard side-to-side hanging, we work to around 620mm deep, so clothes hang properly without being crushed. Where a room is tighter, we can build narrower – down to around 400mm – using front-facing hanging bars instead.

Interiors that work with any door style

Your interior works with whichever doors you choose – sliding wardrobes, hinged or shaker doors, or as part of a full walk-in wardrobe. The doors set the look; the interior determines how well the wardrobe works day-to-day, and the same tower system fits behind all of them.

Made to measure – not a flat-pack kit

You’ll find plenty of DIY “wardrobe interior kits” online. Ours are different: designed for your exact wardrobe, made to measure, and fitted by professionals as part of the whole installation – so the drawers line up, the hanging sits at the right heights, and it all lasts.

Made-to-measure storage is less expensive than you may think, and far better value over time than something you assemble and replace in a few years.

How we plan your wardrobe interior

Getting the ratio right is where a good interior is won or lost. On your free home design visit, we’ll talk through your wardrobe contents – how much you hang versus fold, how many drawers you really need, whether you’d like a dressing area – measure the space precisely, and bring samples so you can see the finishes in your own light.

You’ll see the layout planned out before anything is made, and we’ll balance hanging, drawers and shelving around your actual routine rather than a fixed template.

Planned around your life

Needs change – a child’s wardrobe today is a teenager’s tomorrow. We design the layout around how you’ll use the space now and in the years ahead, and hanging bars can be added or removed later as things change, so the wardrobe keeps earning its place.

Real interiors we’ve fitted

Interiors are where our customers’ rooms really come together. For Izzy in Four Oaks, we built colour-coordinated drawer and shelf stacks with a built-in desk into a growing bedroom; for another customer, we incorporated a coordinated dressing table with shelves above into the reduced depth beside a window.

Wardrobe interior FAQs

What’s the minimum depth for a fitted wardrobe interior?

For normal side-to-side hanging, around 620mm is the minimum so clothes aren’t crushed. If space is tighter, we can build narrower (down to around 400mm) using front-facing hanging bars instead.

How much hanging versus drawer space do I need?

It depends on your wardrobe. As a rule of thumb, the more you hang (dresses, coats, suits), the more full-length hanging you’ll want; the more you fold, the more drawers and shelf stacks. We plan the exact ratio around your clothes on the design visit.

Can you add a dressing table or shoe storage?

Yes – built-in dressing tables, pull-out shoe racks, shoe cascades and pigeonhole shelving are all part of the interiors range.

Do the interiors come with the doors, or can I add them to an existing wardrobe?

The interior is designed and fitted as part of your made-to-measure Vesta wardrobe, behind sliding, hinged or walk-in doors.
